it's fun time at tidbit with black box time

IT'S BLACK BOX TIME!!!

Tuesday March 31st, we had our third BLACK BOX TIME.

Contestants: Kurt and Doug from the heart of the house of tidbit bistro

Jury: John, Brian, and Nic from the front of the house of tidbit bistro

Who won this time? Everybody wins....we do it just for fun!

This time the contestants are asked to prepare a dessert. Brrian picked the five ingredients that are listed below:

1 - Strawberries

2 - Whipped cream cheese

3 - Anchovies

4 - Sweetened condensed milk

5 - Suisse Mocha instant coffee

tidbit got busy on Tuesday (half price on wine!) ...and therefore the contest happened late in the evening. Kurt and Doug were amazing again!

Here are the pictures of the food:

Kurt made a crepe topped with strawberries, a caramel coffee sauce with anchovy praline, and a sweetened ice cream

Doug made a Napoleon, layered using toasted baguette bread, sweetened cream, strawberries and topped with a brandy coffee chocolate sauce and cristallized anchovies

Kurt scored 76 while Doug scored 82

Given the ingredients, both dishes were AMAZING! The most important thing for us is to have fun and eat like Queens!
